Its been awhile, but i'm back and i wanted to hitchu up with the 5 songs that i can't get outta my head RIGHT NOW. Count em down! 5. David Archuleta-Running So i heard the demo awhile back by Mr.James Fauntleroy and i fell in love with the track. I was a bit worried for awhile cause i wasn't sure who was gonna get it, but i couldn't be any happier that David got it, he does the song justice and sounds good on the track. 4.Cassie ft. Day 26 & Diddy-Must Be Love ![]() I don't know if this was a top 5 track b4, but its def my ringtone right now and i can't get enough of it. Cassie's voice has always worked for me, especially on slow laid back tracks like this one, and when you add Day 26 and Diddy, the chemistry is just magical. 3. Day 26-Honest & BiPolar Okay im cheating, but i love these 2 songs. like most of my favorite songs, they caught me completely off guard. But i fell in love with them right away. Both dope track and the boys sound amazing, they know what works and they don't miss a beat on any song. 2. Diddy ft. Brandy-Thought You Said I often criticize Diddy for the way he handles projects over at Bad Boy and this album is exactly why. Press Play was an AMAZING project that really brought together some of music's greatest talents, and was promoted really well. Why he couldn't promote Danity Kane, Day 26, or Donnie like this is beyond me. Smh 'Though You Said' was one of those songs on the album that didn't quiet make sense at first, but once it catches you, it doesn't let go. They both put it down on this track, and its a must listen indeed. 1. Kanye West-Amazing ![]() it was my anthem for spring break, and one of his best songs off the album. The beat is just awesome, and the tracks hella catchy. Gotta love the Kan-man. Bonus Joint- You Know i had to hitchu with a bonus, and he's been getting plays from me all week, so i gotta shout out ryan Leslie and the track "Promise Not 2 Call", it was knocking hard on thursday and i had to make sure i showed it some love. Make sure to go check all those joints out, and hit me up with you top 5!

So Black Eyed Peas are truely back, and im happy. : ) Big fan of the group, and as i was roaming around the city yesterday i saw a number of yellow posters that said "The E.N.D" all over. After seeing this video i realized they are part of Black Eyed Peas new promotion. Interesting stuff. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Next up check out the official cover for Cassie's new single "Must Be Love". Its no secret i love the song, but idk about it as a first single. I was hoping it was a promo single or something to get people ready for the real official single, but hey it IS bad boy, they haven't made a smart choice in how long??? She looks beautiful tho... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amerie, who i did an artist spotlight on the other day is currently getting ready to release her new project. She recently confirmed on her twitter that the album will be named "Make-ups and Break-ups" and she also confirmed the other day that she worked with producers Cool n Dre on a song of the same name. The album is said to be dropping in June/July which means we should be hit with a single very very soon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out Letoya Luckett's title track off her new album "Lady Love", the songs a banger indeed and sounds like a single in the making. can't wait for the full.

![]() ![]() Check out this mash up of Cassie's latest single "Must Be Love". The boys of Day 26 initially recorded the track awhile back before it was given to the young diva, so i decided to put both versions together. Think it came out pretty good, let me know whatchu think. Cassie ft. Day 26 & Diddy-"Must Be Love (Phantom & Aries Remix)"

When i think of underrated, this is one guy whose name pops up in my head almost instantly. Talent like Ryan Leslie is rare, VERY rare in today's industry. Although he choose to invest most of that talent into the talentless Cassie, he's quiet the musical genius and someone who i feel everybody should be checking for. His Debut album was years in the making but it's nothing short of amazing. The talented singer/songwriter/producer put his abilities to the test to create a collection of grown and sexy songs that put his skills as a multi-instrumentalist front and center. Leslie plays Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Trumpet and drums. Its no wonder that although he hasn't had the biggest success, he's still one of the most respected dudes in the game. Leslie got his start in the game back in 2003 when after graduating from Harvard (yes HARVARD), he decided to pursue a career in music. After spending sometime in the background as a producer, he got signed to Universal and began recording tracks for his first album "Just Right". After releasing two singles, (The Way That You Move & Used 2 Be ft Fabolous), the album was shelved indefinitely and Leslie soon left the label and ultimately leaked the majority of the album through his Myspace page. Inbetween albums he took time out to work on protege Cassie's self-titled debut, which included some of his best work like Kiss Me, Can't Do It Without You, In Love With You & Just One Nite. He also worked with the likes of Beyonce, Britney Spears, Danity Kane, Cheri Dennis, Jojo and Donnell Jones. ![]() In late 2007 Cassie seperated herself from Leslie, stopping all work with him and not even appearing in his videos for the single "Addicted" which featured her on the hook. Cassie has since become Diddy's main project at Bad Boy Records and has begun working on her sophomore album without the help of Leslie. Although his sound has somewhat suffered without his protege there to inspire him and his music, he is still ahead of his game as an artist and thanks to the popularity of his youtube videos and his success as a producer he's well on his way to achiving the type of success and recognition he deserves. If you haven't already check out his self-titled debut please do so. Here's some random tracks i love from Mr.Leslie. Rescue You Promise Not 2 Call Rock U Thoughts on Ryan Leslie??

Cassie has been the source of much drama and debate for Diddy and his Bad Boy Records. With such talented acts as Danity Kane, Day 26, and Donnie all falling apart, nobody seems to understand just why he's put all his focus and money into this young women, who dispite her obvious beauty, lacks the confidence and stage presence needed to stand out in today's industry. With that said, i've been trying to find reasons to look foward to her new project, and although i love ALOT of her material, especially her work with Ryan Leslie, she has yet to wow me with anything BUT her music. So i ran across these two video of her performing, and they kinda gave me hope, no lie. Maybe there is something there after all... Below is her filling in for Nicole on Diddy's hit "Come to Me" at the MTV Europe Awards a few years back. P.Diddy "Come To Me" MTV Europe Awards Performance Ft Cassie And some footage of her dancing on the set of her video for "Official Girl". Maybe she can pull it together...idk. Like i said i love her music, and say whatchu will but if she manages to pull it together, she could be a force in the game. But then again...if she aint pull it together by now whose to say she ever will?? Time will tell...
