"True" was hands down the most underrated track on Brandy's "Human" album. Its one of the few songs off that project that i still listen to. So when I heard Claude Kelly's Demo today I was shocking...it sounds terrible! lol
Brandy is an amazing artist to have heard this demo and turn it into the amazing track it is now. Take a listen...

100times better! Anyways, as terrible as his voice is, i've found out recently that Claude is the man behind a couple of my favorite songs at the moment. Like Kat Deluna's "Love Me, Leave Me", which i been playing like its brand new, and Toni Braxton's "Melt" which i just took off my G1 the other day. He's someone to watch, even with his terrible ass voice. lol
So i heard the demo awhile back by Mr.James Fauntleroy and i fell in love with the track. I was a bit worried for awhile cause i wasn't sure who was gonna get it, but i couldn't be any happier that David got it, he does the song justice and sounds good on the track.
I don't know if this was a top 5 track b4, but its def my ringtone right now and i can't get enough of it. Cassie's voice has always worked for me, especially on slow laid back tracks like this one, and when you add Day 26 and Diddy, the chemistry is just magical.
Okay im cheating, but i love these 2 songs. like most of my favorite songs, they caught me completely off guard. But i fell in love with them right away. Both dope track and the boys sound amazing, they know what works and they don't miss a beat on any song.
I often criticize Diddy for the way he handles projects over at Bad Boy and this album is exactly why. Press Play was an AMAZING project that really brought together some of music's greatest talents, and was promoted really well. Why he couldn't promote Danity Kane, Day 26, or Donnie like this is beyond me. Smh 'Though You Said' was one of those songs on the album that didn't quiet make sense at first, but once it catches you, it doesn't let go. They both put it down on this track, and its a must listen indeed.
it was my anthem for spring break, and one of his best songs off the album. The beat is just awesome, and the tracks hella catchy. Gotta love the Kan-man.

My favorite Singer Brandy was pictured out the other day with Keshia from Total, and she looked...well...i love you brandy. lol
Idk about the clothes too much, and although i was dying for brandy to get a short cut, just cause i think she'd do it justice, i can't stand the 'I just got up and threw this wig on' look. With that said, im happy to see her out and about, and she recently confirmed on her twitter that she's currently working on a pilot for a new show. So expect to see her back on tv very soon...
But where does that leave her on the music side of things? Is it a wrap for 'Human'? And will she be putting out her next album soon?? Questions questions....lol
As part of our under the radar month, we decided to highlight different songs that we both love that we feel more people should know about. Alot of great material gets over looked cause its either not from a big name artist, or it gets no real promotion. With that said, these next tracks are all ones you should check out.

The song which was produced by either Brian Michael Cox or Eric Hudson (neither has been confirmed), has a dope knock and features those Key Brandy elements that make all her music so unique. The harmonies are there and the vocals are on point for the most part, but the song seemed to demand alittle more from her that she didn't really give on the vocal front.
Its definitely a different sounds from much of the human album, so i can see why it didn't make the tracklist. Still a nice song to add to your Brandy collection, which EVERYONE should have. lol
Finally got around to working on em, and i've put together two really good collections of music from two of my favorite female artist, Keri and Brandy.

Now Brandy is famous for recording MORE than enough material for a project, and "Human" was no exception. She recorded alot of material, and alot of it has leaked. Among her leaked material is the Timberland produced "Drum Life", the Brian Kennedy produced "One Thing" and "Keyed", and "Bring it Back" produced by B Cox. The compliation is named after my FAVORITE unreleased track, "Freedom" also produced by Kennedy, and the compliation also features several live performances Brandy has done while promoting this album. Okay so when i originally read that quote, it said Britney, but she seems to be doing just fine on tour. Millions coming out to see her half ass dancing to the same tracks she's been lipsyncing forever, and although i love her, my heart still belongs to the originally B who ruled the charts long before Britney and Beyonce got their first pair of booty shorts.
Yes ladies and gents, Aries here, and we all know i stand for the B that is Rocka like there is no tomorrow. And i can't help but wonder why exactly has she not managed to score a hit in forever. I mean she's one of the most respected female artist in the game, and everyone seems to stan for her secretly, but when its time to show and prove, she always falls below the mark.
"Human" makes the second time this millenium a Brandy album seemed to go right over people's heads ("afrodisiac" being the first), even with Rodney back on her side it seems she doesn't have that same affect she used to. With recent reports that she is now being managed exclusively by Jay-Z and his Roc Nation imprint, i find myself seriously hoping that he can do for her career as he manged to do for acts like Kanye, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, and Jeezy. But can she really be saved? Or is she just wayyyy past her time??

She still gotta swagga on stage,and the vocal game is on point as always. Maybe she just need a new imagine? Perhapes a new sound?
Honestly i think she's fine the way she is. I believe "Human" can be saved.
Like Most Brandy albums this one has got a few gems on it that could be huge if given the right push. I feel the first go out with singles "Right Here (Departed)" and "Long Distance" didn't fair well because lets be honest, Brandy's a R&B singer. She can't just go all Pop and Contemporary on us and expect people to make the move with her. And the promotion wasn't bad, but it could have been better. She needed a stronger push.
This go round if they decide to continue with this album, they got to come alot harder. Give fans the music they want to hear, and show Brandy at her best. Give people a single like "True" to help bring in the R&B fans, and then hit em with something like "Fall" to promote on the Pop side. Start using her web videos for more than just little updates here and there. Show the people what they really want to see. Brandy in the studio, at rehearsal, behind the scenes at photoshoots, music videos, etc. No room for mistakes this time around for sure.
Only time will tell if Brandy is still built to climb the charts, or if she's officially washed out. With so many acts just falling off the face of the earth, and other struggling so hard to remain relevant, only those truely deserving will continue to ride at the top. Hope B Rocka is one of them.
