So on my walk to class this morning i had my headphones on listening to music on my G1 ( I f*cking love my phone), and it was on shuffle as usual. Well i'm jamming to Keri's "Make Love", and as the song finishes suddenly i hear "Boom Boom CLAP!", and Brandy's "Acapella" had begun. Written by Singer/Songwriter TC ( a very good friend of P&A) and one of the best tracks on the album, it reminded me i had yet to shout out my favorite artist and her hugely underrated album "Human" which hit stores late last year.

The project which is in stores now, is nothing short of amazing. Brandy is one of the greatest voices of her time, and such an amazing artist. Its so rare to be an artist who rarely writes or produces, but still manages to have a signature sound and a personality that flows through all her music.

The project is standard Brandy, amazing runs, incredible haromies, and REAL music. Music that has a story, has a history, and serves a purpose. Its the kind of album that works, each song compliments the other, each story leading into the next, the kinda project that we don't get from artist today.

Human marks Brandy's return to super producer Rodney Jerkins who helmed her classic album "Full Moon" as well as much of her "Never Say Never" project and such signature hits as "The Boy is Mine", "Sitting on top of the World", and "Angel in Disguise".

Her voice simple shines on tracks like "Acapella (Something is Missing)", "Fall", and title track "Human".

On Singles "Right Here(Departed)" and "Long Distance" she shows us exactly why she's one of the most successful female artist of her time. She looks beautiful in both videos and brings a presence to the screen that is rare among today's females acts.

All in all, Brandy is a class act who manages to bring an old school vibe to a fresh and new sound and the result is a project that is timeless.

Its been reported recently that Brandy has signed with Jay-Z's roc nation managment, and she stated in an interview earlier this year that the next single might possibly be "Piano Man" or "First n Luv", both fan favorites.

Be sure to pick up here album in stores now and support! And check out her official Myspace for pics, videos, and updates from the diva herself.

I'm currently working on a compilation of some of the great tracks that didnt make the album, look for that later this week.
